30 year old woman thought to be from the Leicester area travelling with 3 young children was detained at Birmingham Airport last week. It is thought that the lady and her children travelling to Syria to commit acts of terrorism. West Midlands police announced at 9:40 a.m. on Wednesday in July 2015 the lady was detained by customs and police officers. As a result the ladies property and personal possessions are being searched under the terrorism act. It is thought that over recent times hundreds of UK citizens have travelled VAT UK airports to Syria and other places to join Islamic state and other terrorist organisations.
